If you are looking for a place to spend your Saturday morning, maybe a Bright and Cheer Cafe is for you! The owners of this establishment were originally traveling salesmen, so they set up this small cafe in a parking lot in a working-class section of town. Today, they still serve lunch and dinner as early as five o’clock in the morning, and serve around 2,000 customers on any given weekday.
Bright and Cheer has three different locations (including one in the parking lot of an office building). It was my privilege to be one of their customers for five years, and during that time I saw some amazing things happen. There is always a line, even on weekdays, and sometimes the line grows longer when there is inclement weather or a party. But no matter what time of day, if you come in bright and early you can be assured that someone is going to come out and serve you something.
A bright and cheery cafe can provide an opportunity for you to catch up with old friends from high school or college, or it can provide an opportunity to make new ones. I used to go in on Sunday mornings with a friend. We had such a great time that on Monday we decided to get together for lunch. We talked over coffee and talked about our favorite things in life. A bright and cheery place is a great place to spend a day.
